Run Run Far Away. Run Fast.
I tried to take the route of traditional American business practices when cancelling my service. Now I'm getting dirty as a pig trying to stop the deceit and criminal avoidance.
You cannot cancel your account online, you must call. You jump through 6 or 8 transfers through prompts, to be put on hold and then put into voicemail. In ten months of calling more than ONE HUNDRED times I am still being billed on my my card and I have NEVER had a return call. I even sent a cancellation through traditional mail, not a peep.
I had to cancel my credit card to get this done. By the way, you will get a phone call when you do cancel your card you will be threatened with hidden renewal clauses and cancellation fees that will make you laugh, until you realize they are deadly serious. I encourage everyone to read the hundreds of reviews online. There are more than ONE THOUSAND COMPLAINTS.
That's how I realized my problems with cancelling my service are pandemic to to EVERY CUSTOMER. Run for the hills.
Steamed that they won't respond to my complaints!!

Verified ReviewerAvoid Unless You want to Be Locked In Until You Die
I run a nonprofit that serves the poor and addicted. We've been with RingCentral since 2013 with their RingCentral Office product.
I've been trying to cancel one of our lines because we no longer have anyone in that position. Here is the *** I've been though just to do this:
1. I filed a ticket and emailed them to cancel the line.
2. I was told that I had to call them to cancel the line.
3. I called, there was no on to answer, so I left a message.
4. Someone called back while I was in a meeting, left a message and then shorty after sent me an email saying the ticket was now closed.
5. Repeat of steps 3 and 4 several times.
6. I got someone on the phone. She said that even though I signed our initial contract in 2013, they said I was still locked into a 2 year contract because they said their contracts automatically renew indefinitely for 2 year periods
7. I told them that I did not sign a 2 year contract for the current period and would not agree to pay for that line for another 2 years.
8. The customer service rep told me that she would cancel the line if I signed another 2 year contract. I told her I would not because I thought their practices where unethical and I did not plan to renew our contract once it was up.
9. She said she would need to have her boss call me.
10. She called me back (not her boss) and left another message.
11. Now I'm back to step 3 above leaving messages.
I'm posting this message on every complaint board and government consumer protection site I can find because that seems like an easier solution than working with their customer service.
It is clear that they make it nearly impossible for anyone to cancel their service. There are many messages about this on complaint boards and that some people had to go to the extreme act of cancelling their credit card to finally cancel their RingCentral account.
I just want to cancel one line, and I can't believe it's this difficult.
- Billing practices are fraudulent
- Impossible to cancel service
Preferred solution: I just want to cancel one line as I requested and not have to pay for a 2 year contract on that line that I did not sign.

Well, nice enough but didn't work
I was told that all I needed was a wifi system. I have Comcast throughout the house and my cell and laptop work just fine.
I was with AT&;;;;;;;;T on the internet hook up which they said would save me money over my landline but read about all of the advantages RingCentral had to offer plus lower prices---so I signed up, bought a Polycom phone and tried to get started. They then said I would need a cable to attach to my laptop form the phone, and a router. Had to order in the cable and purchased the best Netgate 1600 router, spent several hours twice a day of three days talking to 5 ot 6 different technical folks, they couldn't get the phone to initializes, then they said I needed a modem, ordered one in overnight, but then they said it needed to be connected to the Comcast service---which was in the living room and way from my office, then someone said I didn't need it only a router and again I spent several hours talking to technical teams and all having their own ideas of what I needed.
I admit I am computer illiterate but after 4 days, I called and got my phone number back and am in the process of waiting for Comcast to arrive to see if they can get me a wifi set up to use my phone over the internet..I am a small business, have spent some $350 or more on a phone, cables, router, and a modem and am still without a phone! Everyone was extra nice but I must have misunderstood bout just how easy and simple the changeover and set up would be.

Stay away!
In my opinion, Ring is guilty of false advertising.
Went w/Ring because there was (is) no mention of a monthly fee in their literature.- - - BUT there is! The video doorbell 2 shows video for a month & after that there is a fee.
Tried to pay it w/prepaid Visa. Was asked for billing address & brand of card. Was told they couldn't take my 'billing' because it was to a p.o box. Since during the 30 day trial, 2 separate pieces were attached to my storm door & Ring didn't show the perps & I only had 1 video of the mail person and they wouldn't accept my billing I didn't renew the video.
THEY HAVE CONSISTENTLY HACKED MY DEVICE & NOW I CAN'T EVEN VIEW THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE. It was showing me the front albeit 4 seconds, 3 hours ago, etcetera. Now I have lost all of the aps & I might get a chime then a notice of 'motion at front door' but the only pictures I have gotten were of the installer (I had him ring the bell to see if it worked before he left) & of myself the first time I changed the battery.
(Even though it is hotwired, you need to purchase an extra $29 battery so you don't lose service.) And while I had the "trial video service", I could not delete & remove video I didn't want/need thereby consuming/taking up data that I didn't want to use. I consider their advertising as false; their product as crap.
Can't talk to cancel service

Advertise and Promise Fake Offers
We are a customer of ringcentral but are now looking for Alternatives. We deal with a lot of companies and this company ringcentral is just about the worst company to communicate with and solve any situations - crazy because they are a communication company.
Most of their customer service and support is located in another country which may be the biggest problem because a customer service representative said on a call they don't like customers in the US.
We asked for a Manager or the person in charge of customer service and they refused, then we asked for the corporate office number and they refused again. They email us an offer to renew and then said when we questioned the invoice didn't reflect new offer - the representative said no we cannot honor it and said we had to speak with the representative that emailed us the offer and promised it would be included on Aug invoice well that representative isn't with the company anymore they have a high turnover. We communicated that the representative is no longer with Company and we were told sorry nothing we can do - how convenient.
worst company I have ever worked with. Can some get me the number of the corportate office they say it is in Denver but it could be a fake office because I cannot get a number for it.
